About Guanacos Tech
What's in the name.
Guanaco is what Salvadorans call themselves. The guanaco is a wild camelid that lives on the high plains of South America — over time, the word became how El Salvador says hello to itself. We chose it because the team is Salvadoran by origin, and because of what the word stands for here at home: showing up, doing the work, and finishing it well.
Quiet rescue work, since 2018.
We started taking on Workspace and Cloud engagements for SMBs in 2018. Most of the early projects were rescue work — Workspace migrations that had stalled, deliverability that had collapsed, cloud infrastructure that had drifted past what its owners understood.
The pattern kept repeating. The same companies kept hitting the same problems with the same tools, and the people who could fix them properly were either too expensive, only available in English, or simply didn't exist in the local market. That gap is the reason we exist.
SMBs across North America and Latin America.
Workspace administrators who inherited the admin console and don't know where to start. Founders who became their company's IT department by accident. Operations leads who need someone bilingual, certified, and reachable when something breaks at 3pm on a Friday.
We've shipped 80+ projects to date. Most of them are quiet, ongoing engagements that don't appear on case-study pages — the kind of work that's only visible when it stops being a fire.
How we run engagements.

Fixed pricing wherever possible.
You know the number before the work starts. The few engagements we bill hourly are scoped explicitly. Travel and third-party costs pass through at cost. Discovery calls are always free.

Bilingual is how we work.
We run every engagement in whichever language the client prefers. English, Spanish, or mixed — same team, same response time. It's not a marketing line.

Stop billing when it makes sense to stop.
We try to leave every engagement better than we found it, and we'd rather lose a small retainer than keep one we shouldn't be on. Repeat work comes from doing the right thing the first time.
